An inmate is the latest charged in the ongoing investigation into drugs in the Webster County Jail.
Providence Police report on Thursday Officer Eric Elder executed three arrest warrants charging 42-year old Terry Wyne Linkwiler, Jr., of Uniontown, with first-degree promoting contraband, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, and engaging in organized crime.
Police say Linkwiler has been incarcerated in the Webster County Jail since March 15 for two counts of failure to appear, burglary, theft over $1,000, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, DUI, and other offenses.
According to police, the new charges stem from evidence that indicates Linkwiler previously had contact with 40-year-old Maggie Miller who was arrested on April 24th after being taken into custody in a vehicle outside the jail with drugs and other contraband being trafficked into the jail through a deputy jailer. Linkwiler was allegedly one of the inmates that were in contact with Miller setting up the delivery of dangerous contraband, giving instructions on how to conceal the methamphetamine in other contraband and which vehicle to place it into.
This is an ongoing joint investigation by Webster County Jailer Greg Sauls and Providence Police Department into illegal contraband being brought into the Webster County Jail. Police indicate more arrests are still expected.
