The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant Friday on a man indicted last year on charges of failure to comply with the sex offender registry and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White says he served the warrant shortly before 10:00 a.m. on 56-year old Roy Lee Wright, formerly of Hardin, who had been a fugitive after he was indicted by the Lyon County grand jury exactly one year ago. He says his office investigated this case and found Wright had been residing in Kuttawa without updating his address with the Kentucky State Police as required by his sex offender registration.
According to Sheriff White, Wright was extradited by Deputy Byron Jasis from Saline County, Illinois, and lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
