Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials are reminding motorists that an active work zone is still in place after traffic was successfully moved to the new Crooked Creek Bridge on KY 91 at the northwest edge of Marion in Crittenden County Wednesday.
District 2 spokesman Keith Todd says the active work zone on KY 91, just over 1/2 mile north of the U.S. 60/Main Street intersection in Marion, continues while the contractor removes the temporary diversion and completes some additional finish items on the new bridge.
Todd adds that motorists should be alert for intermittent periods of one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. He says personnel and equipment may cross the roadway from time to time while efforts to remove the temporary diversion are ongoing.
This section of KY 91 carries traffic to and from the Cave-in-Rock Ferry.
