A Princeton teen was injured in a rollover wreck on Interstate 69 in Caldwell County Wednesday afternoon.
According to Chief Deputy Chris Noel with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 83-mile marker on I-69 shortly after 4:00 p.m. He says an investigation by Deputy Jeremy Kolba determined 17-year old Shaylea Mitchell was northbound on I-69 when she said an object from a semi in front of her fell from the truck, causing her to lose control of the vehicle and run off the right side of the roadway. Her vehicle then struck an embankment and overturned.
Chief Deputy Noel says Mitchell was transported by EMS to Caldwell Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Deputy Kolba was assisted on scene by Caldwell County Fire/Rescue, Caldwell EMS, Wallace Towing, and Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies Evan Head, Josh Travis and Chief Deputy Chris Noel.
