Princeton Optimist Club President George Kilgore says he is pleased with the number of items sold and the money raised on night one of the Optimist-Kiwanis Radio Auction Monday evening.
Kilgore said everything went well on the first night at the radio auction’s new location at the Christian Life Center at Princeton First Baptist Church. He noted they sold just over 60 items and raised more than $1,500.
click to download audioHe said they are continuing to accept donations which can be brought to the Christian Life Center after 3:00 p.m.
WPKY partnered with the Optimist-Kiwanis clubs for the radio auction with owner Beth Mann and Kilgore reminding residents they can give back to the community by joining the Platinum Partner Sponsorship Program.

click to download audioAccording to Kilgore, they have around 65 items to be sold Tuesday night with pictures and the list of items to be auctioned posted on the Princeton Optimist Club Facebook page by mid-afternoon.
