Princeton, Fredonia and surrounding communities are among more than 360 cities in Kentucky that will receive another round of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funding.
Governor Andy Beshear announced Thursday the second round of ARPA funding exceeds $162 million for eligible local governments that received their first round of funding last year.
According to the governor, the money will help cities offset expenses related to COVID-19, including the costs of personal protective equipment, vaccination clinics, loss of revenue, payroll and investment in water, sewer, or broadband infrastructure.
Princeton will receive more than $817,076, with nearly $52,913 going to Fredonia, and Dawson Springs will receive approximately $351,550.
In Lyon County, Eddyville’s second round of funding is around $340,056, while just over $89,524 will go to Kuttawa.
Other cities in the area receiving the second round of ARPA funding include just over $379,610 to Marion, more than $2.48 million to Madisonville, and Providence will get around $400,721.
