Elks Lodge Makes Large Donation To Wes York Memorial Scholarship

It was an exciting and emotional evening on night 4 of the Princeton Optimist-Kiwanis Club Radio Auction when a local non-profit organization stepped up in a big way and presented a large donation in memory of high school ag teacher Wes York.
During Thursday night’s radio auction, Optimist Club President George Kilgore announced on WPKY and to the crowd on hand that Jay Davis with the Princeton Elks Lodge had just handed him a $2,000 donation for the Wes York Memorial Scholarship.

Davis shared with Kilgore that a lot of the Elks Lodge members were former students of Yorks or their kids were ag students and they wanted to honor his memory.

The other good news shared by Kilgore on night four was the number of items sold and the amount of money raised has continued to climb each night of the auction.
