A Madisonville man was arrested last week after allegedly stealing copper wire from a utility company.
Madisonville Police report officers were dispatched to the Madisonville Electric Department at 609 McCoy Avenue around midnight Friday regarding a copper theft. After talking with community members and reviewing surveillance from the electric department and surrounding areas, officers identified the suspect as 29-year old Brandon Marlow.
Marlow was taken into custody and charged with first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal mischief, and theft by unlawful taking under $1,000.
Police indicate the investigation is ongoing and future arrests are expected.
