Area 911 And Responder Agencies Receive Grant Funding


Officials with the Pennyrile Area Development District have announced that several Pennyrile-area 911 and responder agencies will receive funding as part of a $2.1 million grant approved by the Kentucky 911 Services Board last week for the 2022 grant cycle.
Marion-Crittenden County E911 was awarded $26,550 for an E-911 mapping upgrade project; Livingston County Fiscal Court will receive $39,150 for a 911 refresh project; the City of Madisonville was awarded $22,308 for an emergency Public Safety Answering Point backup equipment project; and, Hopkinsville-Christian County Emergency will receive $39,150 for a 911 refresh project.
Pennyrile Area Development District staff assisted several of these agencies in developing and submitting applications for the 2022 cycle.
