The weekend of the 4th of July is packed with firework events.
In Caldwell County, the annual Thunder in the Valley will return on Sunday night at 6:30 at the historic Buddy Rogers Ballpark in Fredonia for one of the biggest firework shows in the area.
DuncFest, sponsored by Duncs Tire, will be held Monday night at the industrial park at the end of Park Avenue off of Highway 62 West behind Hydro-Gear. Princeton Mayor Kota Young says parking will be available beginning at 7:30, and the public needs to arrive no later than 8:30 with the show to begin at 8:40.
Deb Domke with the Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce announced nine different opportunities to watch fireworks on the lakes.
Saturday, July 2:
– Thunder Over Eddy Bay at Eddy Creek Marina Resort
– Kenlake Marina
– Murray Lynnhurst Family Resort
Sunday, July 3:
– “Light Up the Sky” at Moors Resort and Marina in Gilbertsville
– Holiday Hills Resort- fireworks are only able to be viewed on or by the water
Fireworks at all Saturday and Sunday locations begin at dusk.
Monday, July 4:
– Prizer Point in Cadiz- begins at dusk
– “Red, White, and Boom” at Birdsong Resort in Camden- begins at 9 pm
– “AmeriBration Celebration” at Calvert City Memorial Park- begins at 9 pm
– “Murray Bank Firework Extravaganza” in Murray- begins at 9 pm and able to be viewed from 641/121 area
