A Princeton man arrested on a warrant is facing additional charges after law enforcement said he was found in possession of meth at the jail.
Caldwell County Sheriff Chris Noel reports 59-year old Dwayne Armstrong was taken into custody by Deputy Evan Head shortly after 6:00 Monday night on Harmony Church Road on a Caldwell County District Court Complaint Warrant. The warrant was for careless driving, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, failure to register/transfer motor vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Upon being booked into the Caldwell County Jail, Armstrong was reportedly found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
