Local High School Student Commits To Army

Canyon Richardson

Canyon Richardson is preparing to begin his senior year at Caldwell County High School but he has set his sights on a more long-term plan. He has signed his papers and committed to joining the U.S. Army after completing his high school education.
Canyon is the 17-year old son of Jenna Williams and Jamie Richardson and said he has thought about joining the military for about 6 years but decided a few months ago he needed to plan for his future and decided on the Army.

Canyon’s grandfather, Freddy Williams, is retired from the military and was a source to help him in his decision.
