A fugitive out of Lyon County was arrested in Christian County over the weekend.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White says 61-year old Kenneth M. Morris was arrested in Hopkinsville Saturday after being found in a storage unit and attempting to flee from officers with the Hopkinsville Police Department.
The search for the fugitive began Wednesday evening after Sheriff White reported that Morris had abandoned a vehicle near Tom & Barb’s grocery on KY 93 South about 4 miles south of Eddyville. White said law enforcement searched the Tinsley Creek Road area until they learned later that evening that Morris had caught a ride to Hopkinsville at which time they called off the search in Lyon County.
According to Sheriff White, Morris was wanted for three counts of burglary, possession of methamphetamine, tampering with a prisoner monitoring device (ankle monitor) and two warrants for failure to appear.
Sheriff White also indicated Morris has an extensive 42-page criminal history including violent offenses.
