The Fredonia Activities Committee will be collecting items to help out the victims of the historic flooding that occurred last week in Eastern Kentucky.
Michelle Vinson Travis with the committee says the “Stuff the Trailer” event will be Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. She indicates the following items are needed:
– Cleaning supplies
– Mops
– Brooms
– Buckets
– Gloves
– Rubber Gloves
– Mold Cleaners
– Bleach
– Cleaning Brushes
– Cleaning Rags
Personal hygiene:
– Soap
– Shampoo
– Toothbrushes
– Toothpaste
– Towels
– Wash rags
– Laundry detergent
They are also accepting $25 Gift Cards from Walmart and Lowes. She says no clothes are needed at this time.
According to Travis, if you would donate money, that money will be used to buy gift cards.
You can drop off donations at Akridge Farm Supply and give them to Jacy Travis or you take items to Fredonia Valley Bank and Walnut Grove Baptist Church if you can’t make it on Wednesday. Travis says the items will be taken to Eastern Kentucky on Friday by one of the committee members’ relatives.
