An Eddyville man was charged with DUI after a single-vehicle wreck in Lyon County Saturday night.
According to Lyon County Sheriff Brent White, Deputy Keith Suits and Kentucky State Police Trooper Nick Engler responded to the wreck on KY 274 about nine miles south of Eddyville around 11:15 p.m.
He says an investigation revealed 59-year old David C. Bergman was southbound on KY 274 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway and overturn. Bergman reportedly refused medical treatment at the scene and was arrested by Trooper Engler on charges of DUI-1st offense and failure to notify the department of transportation of address change. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
Lyon County EMS, the Eddyville Fire Department, and Lyon County Animal Control assisted state police and Deputy Suits at the scene.
