Annual Lions Club Fredonia Festival Next Weekend


The Lions Club Fredonia Festival is coming up next weekend and will include lots of fun, family activities and entertainment at Buddy Rogers Park.
Angie Prowell with the Fredonia Lions Club says the festival will kick off with the annual Fredonia Valley Parade with a member of the committee selected as grand marshal.


click to download audioShe adds free food will also be available at Cumberland Presbyterian Church across from The Hive prior to the start of the parade.


click to download audioShe gave some reasons why the Fredonia Festival is a tradition and people look forward to it every year, including the Cake Walk at 8:00 Saturday morning.


click to download audioThe youth ball games begin at 8:00 a.m. with bingo, and other activities throughout the day.


click to download audioThe Caldwell County FFA will host the kid’s tractor pulls and the festival will also include youth whiffle ball.


click to download audioThere will be lots of vendors set up at the festival along with inflatables, as well as a Pet Show at 3:00 Saturday afternoon, a Washer Pitch at 4:00 p.m., and at 5:00 p.m. local talent Classy and Grassy will take the stage followed by Tim Rhodes at 6:00 p.m.
As the Fredonia Lions Club is the only club of its kind in Caldwell County, Prowell explains they serve all the county’s residents and this festival is one of the club’s fundraising events.
