A local high school sports team has received a generous donation from the Princeton Optimist Club.
Club President George Kilgore has announced they recently presented a donation to the members of the Caldwell County High School Golf Team at the Optimist Club meeting. He says the donation will be used for expenses for the team in the upcoming school year.
Kilgore also thanked everyone for their support of the radio auction which makes these types of donations possible.
The Princeton Optimist and Kiwanis Clubs raised a record-breaking amount of around $36,000 during the radio auction held in June.
