A 76-year old man was taken to the hospital after a hit and run involving a bicycle and vehicle in Madisonville Saturday night.
Madisonville Police officers were sent to the accident at 1840 North Main Street just after 8:00 p.m. and reportedly found Michael Wells laying in the roadway. Officers said they were told that Wells was traveling on a bicycle northbound in the right lane when he was struck by an unknown hit-and-run vehicle. However, police indicate a “mango-orange” passenger side mirror from the vehicle was found at the scene.
Wells was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital Madisonville for treatment.
