A Madisonville organization presented a donation Wednesday morning to go toward a memorial to remember the lives that were lost in Dawson Springs and those who survived the December tornado.
Representatives of the Woman’s Club of Madisonville presented a $525 check to Dawson Springs Rotary President Tabatha Adams at Dawson Springs City Park at the site of the future memorial which “honors those who died in the tornado on December 10, 2021, and celebrates the spirit of the community that survived.”
The money will be used for landscaping for the memorial, according to a post on social media. The post also indicates Sandra Aiken lost her dad in the December tornado and Amy Blades lost her parents.
