The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and theft complaint.
Sheriff Brent White responded to the complaint in the 3000 block of KY 819 Thursday morning, August 11, around 9:00 and an investigation revealed someone had forcibly entered a residence and burglarized it. In addition, Sheriff White says the theft suspect had taken a photo of a carport at the residence from his pickup truck and published it on social media in an attempt to sell the property that didn’t belong to him.
Sheriff White and Eddyville Police Chief Brook Dixon went to the suspect’s home and located the truck, but not the suspect. He says the truck was seized as evidence in the case and impounded.
The investigation is continuing, and Sheriff White indicates charges are likely in this case
