The Princeton Rotary Club has been presenting books to children, libraries and daycares to help with the trauma of the tornado that devastated our area in December.
Rotarians made presentations to the George Coon Public Library in Princeton and the primary and elementary school teachers in Caldwell County. Princeton Rotary members assembled bags that contained seven books, specifically chosen with the intent of aiding students to connect to emotions, extend understanding, and reduce stress, fear, and anxiety associated with the trauma from the December 10th tornado. Rotarians said they hope the books will serve as a conversation starter between teachers and students.
Princeton Rotarians also donated books to Dawson Springs Independent Schools for every preschool through 5th-grade homeroom and the school’s library.
