Kuttawa Man Charged With Assault, 2nd DUI After Disturbance At Business

Law enforcement says a disturbance at a business in Lyon County led to the arrest of a Kuttawa man for assault and his second DUI offense.
Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies and a Kentucky State Police trooper were sent to a Kuttawa business on Days Inn Drive Monday night, August 19, around 9:00 for an intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance. When law enforcement arrived they learned the male had left the store and his vehicle was located at another business where he was stopped by Deputy Seth P’Pool before the man left that location.
An investigation led to 41-year old Alexander B. Earle being charged with fourth-degree assault for reportedly assaulting a store clerk at the first business. In addition, Deputy P’Pool reports Earle was charged by Kentucky State Police with DUI-2nd offense (aggravated circumstance), failure to wear seat belt, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle and no insurance.
