Caldwell County High School and the FFA Program are welcoming a new student teacher.
FFA Advisor Magen Woods announced Wednesday morning that McCallister “Mac” Killian, a senior agricultural sciences with agriculture education certification major at Murray State University, arrived recently at the high school and will be working with the students and teachers in the agriculture science and technology department and the FFA program for the next fourteen weeks.
Killian is working under the guidance of Woods to learn all aspects of a successful agricultural science and technology program at the high school level. Woods says Killian will strive to become proficient in teaching a variety of classes in the career and technical education area, as well as assisting students with leadership development in the FFA organization and with career-focused experiential programs.
According to Woods, Killian will return to Murray upon completion of the student teaching experience to participate in commencement exercises at Murray State University where he will earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Sciences.
