A Princeton man was flown to an out-of-state hospital after a single-vehicle rollover wreck in Caldwell County Tuesday night.
Sheriff Chris Noel reports around 11:15 p.m. deputies responded to the wreck on Old Wilson Warehouse Road in which the driver was trapped inside with unknown injuries.
Sheriff Noel says an investigation by Deputy Evan Head determined 40-year old Joshua Rowlands was attempting to negotiate a curve on Old Wilson Warehouse Road when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway, jumped a ditch and an earth embankment, and then came to rest on the driver’s side against a tree.
Rowlands was extricated from the vehicle by Caldwell County Fire Department and transported by Lyon County EMS where he was then flown to an Evansville, Indiana hospital for treatment of what Deputy Head said was non-life threatening injuries.
The sheriff’s department is continuing to investigate the accident.
Deputy Head was assisted on the scene by Caldwell County Fire/Rescue, Deputy Ashley Copeland, and Caldwell and Lyon County EMS.
