Several Caldwell 4-H Sharpshooters Place In Summer Shoot

Several Caldwell County 4-H Sharpshooters recently brought home some trophies after competing in the Todd County Bub Murrey Hot Days of Summer Shoot.
4-H Agent Rhonda Jewell says she is proud of the kids that competed in Todd County.


click to download audioIn the age 9-11, 25 targets competition Drake Howard placed 1st, Collin Mayes placed 3rd, Clay Murphy placed 4th and Wyatt Dickerson placed 5th after he hit twelve of the 25 targets.
In the age 9-11, 50 targets competition 2nd place went to Dayton Haberlock and 3rd place was awarded to Dax Conger. Jewell noted it was amazing that Haberlock had an injury and placed 2nd.

Wyatt Dickerson and Collin Mayes said they would like for new kids to join the Caldwell County 4-H Sharpshooters, and noted it may be easier for newbies to start out with bow shooting.

click to download audioComing up this weekend, its the inaugural Black Patch 3D Archery Shoot that will be held at the Jones-Keeney Wildlife Management Area gun range located at 15182 Dawson Road between Princeton and Dawson Springs. The competition is for males and females from 6 years old and up, with the 6 to 8-year-olds able to participate in the archery tournament for free. Trophies and ribbons will be awarded.
