Caldwell High School Cheerleaders Hold Cheer Clinic


The Caldwell County High School Cheerleaders held a Cheer Clinic Saturday at the Community Activities Building. The Clinic hosted 33 participants ages Kindergarten through 5th grade.
The instructors for the Clinic were the 14 members of the High School squad.
Cheerleader Avery Thompson is a Junior and in her 3rd-year cheerleading at the high school level. She began cheering at the age of 5 and shares what being a cheerleader means to her.

click to download audioMeagan Frisch is in her 3rd year as the Cheer leading Coach at the high school. She explained the different skills those attending will learn at the Clinic and the opportunity they will be given at the Homecoming Football game.


click to download audioFrisch said they are planning on holding another Clinic for the basketball season. She added that in addition to cheering for the football and basketball games they have their own competition during the school year where they compete with other squads from different schools. If anyone is interested in joining the cheerleading squad there is another chance for students to join and both female and male students are welcome.
