A Madisonville man has been charged in connection to a stabbing that occurred at an apartment complex late Friday afternoon.
Madisonville Police report officers responded to Hidden Hills Apartments located at 405 Allison Avenue shortly after 5:00 p.m. When officers arrived they reportedly found 40-year old Kimberly Thompson, of Madisonville, inside an apartment with a deep puncture wound on the left side of her upper body. After officers and EMS provided medical attention, Thompson was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Baptist Health Deaconess for treatment.
According to police, 49-year old Jeremy Messamore was arrested on the scene and charged with first-degree assault. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
