Man Charged With 2nd DUI After Lyon County Traffic Stop

A traffic stop in Lyon County led to the arrest of a Tennessee man on multiple charges including his second DUI offense.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White reports Deputy Joe Witherspoon stopped an SUV for speeding on US 62 East around 8:15 Saturday night. After an investigation, the driver 49-year old Larry D. Currie, Jr. of Madison was taken into custody and charged with speeding, DUI-2nd offense, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, and driving on a DUI suspended license 1st offense (aggravating circumstances).
Currie was lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
