It’s been about 10 months since the devastating tornado struck Caldwell County and Menser noted the LTRG still needs volunteers. At the Caldwell County LTRG meeting Wednesday, it was announced the local LTRG has received help from volunteers from another county who are willing to make calls for Caldwell beginning Thursday, October 6th and continuing to Tuesday, October 11th.
She adds members of the Caldwell County LTRG will still be available on-site for Call Day on Tuesday to help those who prefer to come in person but they do still need community volunteers on October 6th.

Volunteers will be provided information to use when making calls to tornado victims.

According to Menser, if you are interested in volunteering for Call Day they will take whatever time you give whether it’s a few hours or all day.
Even though you may have talked to the LTRG in April, Menser said you still need to answer the phone from Thursday through next Tuesday because you may have other needs.

Menser guesstimates there were approximately 300 residents in Caldwell County that were affected by the tornado.
