The Princeton Police Department saw an increase in calls, arrests and vehicle collisions in August compared to the previous month.
Chief Chris King presented the department’s activity report for August to the Princeton City Council at Monday night’s meeting which shows officers responded to 357 calls for service or nearly 12 calls per day. That was down 10 from July when officers responded to 347 calls for service.
Princeton Police made 59 criminal arrests in August — an increase of 15 from July — with 11 felony arrests and 48 misdemeanor arrests made. Officers also issued 26 criminal citations and served 28 warrants, summonses, and emergency protective orders.
Police also saw an increase in motor vehicle collisions with 20 reported in August, up 5 from the previous month. Two of those crashes involved injuries.
Officers also issued 22 traffic citations and gave 53 verbal warnings to drivers in August.
