A man and woman were arrested on burglary and resisting arrest charges after deputies responded to a trespassing complaint in Caldwell County Thursday afternoon.
According to Sheriff Chris Noel, he and Deputy Evan Head responded to Otto Pond Road around 5:45 p.m. in reference to individuals trespassing on the property.
After an investigation, 32-year old Jess Fitzgerald and 22-year old Kelsey Ford were taken into custody and charged with second-degree burglary and resisting arrest.
Sheriff Noel says when Ford was removed from the vehicle at the jail, she ran but was apprehended after a short foot pursuit and returned to the jail for booking. Ford was also charged with second-degree escape and second-degree disorderly conduct.
Both subjects, whose address is unknown, were lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
