Caldwell County Grand Jury Returns Four Felony Indictments


The Caldwell County Grand Jury returned four felony indictments and one misdemeanor indictment from the October 7 session.
The grand jury indicted 36-year old Bryan Harris of Princeton on charges of first-degree assault and first-degree strangulation. Harris was arrested by Princeton Police on a warrant on August 6, 2022 after an investigation of a domestic disturbance when Harris allegedly grabbed a female victim by the throat and strangled her until she was unconscious.
37-year old Laura Delane Huddleston of Madisonville was indicted on a charge of receiving stolen property over $1,000 under $10,000. The charge stems from August 3, 2022 when Princeton Police responded to a disturbance at the American Inn in Princeton and an investigation determined Huddleston was in a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Madisonville.
40-year old Sonja F. Traylor of Eddyville was indicted on charges of third-degree burglary and first-degree persistent felony offender. Traylor was arrested in August of this year by Princeton Police after an investigation into a burglary at the storage units on Northfield Drive that occurred on November 5, 2021.
A true bill was returned on 38-year old Chancie Gray of Princeton on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges are from an incident involving Kentucky State Police Post 2 on June 23, 2022.
And after considering a felony charge of second-degree strangulation on 40-year old Troy Cheek, the grand jury returned a misdemeanor indictment for fourth-degree assault and remanded the case back to Caldwell County District Court. The charge is in connection to an alleged domestic disturbance on East Main Street in July of this year.
