The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has announced a new deputy has joined its staff.
Sheriff Brent White says Deputy Jeremy Hillyard is a certified peace officer and canine handler. He comes to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office with over a decade of experience and Sheriff White says they are glad to have him on their team.
With the addition of Deputy Hillyard, Sheriff White says they are back to full staff and all of the department’s patrol deputies now reside in Lyon County.
Deputy Hillyard was sworn-in Tuesday by 56th Circuit Court Judge Jamus Redd.
