Man And Woman Charged With Meth Possession And Burglary

A man and woman were arrested on drug and burglary charges in Providence this week.
Providence Police Officers Eric Elder and Aaron Elder responded to a call about people being inside an apartment illegally shortly after 10:15 Tuesday night. Once on the scene, officers said they found 47-year old Ronda R. Hill, of Providence, and 53-year old Terry Dewayne Powell, of Madisonville, inside the apartment.
According to police, both subjects appeared to be under the influence and admitted to using meth. In addition, officers said they both admitted to entering and remaining in the apartment illegally.
During the investigation, officers reportedly found methamphetamine residue in plain view, along with meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the apartment.
Hill and Powell were taken into custody and both were charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and second-degree burglary.
