The Princeton Police Department saw an increase in arrests and calls for service in September compared to the previous month.
Chief Chris King presented the police department’s activity report at the last city council meeting held in October which showed officers made 67 criminal arrests for September — an increase of 8 from August — with 30 felony arrests and 37 misdemeanor arrests. Officers also issued 10 criminal citations and served 60 warrants, summonses, and emergency protection orders.
The activity report also showed the Princeton Police Department responded to 385 calls for service or nearly 13 calls per day. That was up 28 from August when officers responded to 357.
Police investigated 10 vehicle collisions reported in September — the same number of wrecks officers investigated in August. Two of the collisions in September involved injuries.
Officers also issued 39 traffic citations and gave out 2 written warnings and 72 verbal warnings.
