Council Approves Bid For Burial Services Contract


Princeton City Council approved a burial services contract bid and an ordinance on second reading establishing an official index of roadways maintained by the city during Monday night’s meeting.
Mayor Kota Young said the city received one bid from the current contractor for the burial site services at Cedar Hill Cemetery and Memorial Gardens.


click to download audioThe council unanimously approved the bid from Stalion Contracting along with an ordinance on first reading amending the burial fees as presented by city attorney Todd Wetzel.


click to download audioIn other action, the council unanimously approved an ordinance on second reading establishing an official index of 28 alleys, 185 streets, and 2 cemeteries as the official street system of the City of Princeton.

The city council also approved a fire department interlocal agreement that Mayor Young said has been put into writing.


click to download audioDuring department reports, Princeton Fire Chief Brent Francis informed the council the new fire truck arrived Friday night and should be in service hopefully later this week.
