The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of catalytic converter thefts.
Sheriff Brent White says he responded to a theft complaint in the 2000 block of KY 93 North shortly before 1:00 Sunday afternoon on November 6th. The investigation revealed an unknown offender(s) used a power tool to remove catalytic converters from multiple commercial vehicles parked on the victim’s property. He says four converters were stolen, and another one was damaged but not removed from the vehicle.
According to Sheriff White, this was the sixth catalytic converter theft in that area in the last year.
