A local teacher has been named a McDonald’s Outstanding Educator.
Officials with McDonald’s in Eddyville announced on social media that Michelle Metcalf at Lyon County Elementary School was presented the award Tuesday morning by two of its owner/operators, Joe and Chris McEnaney, along with the restaurant’s General Manager Haylie Cruz.
In addition to the certificate, Metcalf also received a $100 Visa gift card, a Best Teacher mug, and free food coupons to pay it forward.
McDonald’s Eddyville also shared a fun fact that Metcalf’s first job was at McDonald’s in Covington.
Officials with the local McDonald’s said they were honored to be able to present this award to one of their own.
