The Marion Police Department is reminding the citizens a burn ban is still in effect inside the city limits. Even though the burn ban has been lifted for Crittenden County, according to Marion Police, the burn ban is still in effect city-wide due to the shortage of water inside the city limits.
Officials with the Marion Police Department indicate anyone caught burning inside the city limits, will be cited.
Marion Police say residents within the city will be notified when the burn ban has been lifted.
