Career Center Health Science Competes In Regional


The Health Science classes at the Caldwell Regional Career Center competed in the Regional competition held at the West Kentucky Community & Technical College in Paducah.
275 students from 6 schools attended with 47 students representing the local school.
Lei Ann Brown has served as a teacher and sponsor for the HOSA Club for 6 years and describes the regional competition.


click to download audioLori Conway is in her 5th year teaching and said that in addition to the competitions the students attended various break out sessions giving them information on medical careers that are available.


click to download audioThe local school was in the top 3 placings in 5 different contest: DJ Merritt in Medical Terms, JJ Lowery in Pathophysiology, Andy Zheng in Medical Math, Kakayla Brown in Health Informatics and the CPR team of Kamron Maroney and Alyssa Wade.
Maroney learned hands on experience being on the CRP team.
