A Kuttawa man was transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 62 West in Lyon County last week. According to Sheriff Brent White, Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to the wreck near the Interstate 24 interchange shortly before 2:00 Tuesday morning, December 13.
Sheriff White says the investigation revealed a semi tractor-trailer driven by 40-year old James Thagna of Powder Springs, Georgia was making a left turn from the I-24 off-ramp when he failed to yield the right of way and was hit by an eastbound car on US 62 driven by 23-year old Richard Thompson, Jr. of Kuttawa.
Thompson was reportedly transported to an area hospital by Lyon County EMS for possible head injuries.
