Crittenden County Emergency Management has announced a warming center will be opening Thursday due to the forecasted unseasonably cold and dangerous wind chill temperatures through the weekend.
Officials say courthouse in Marion will be open from Thursday evening through Monday morning to enable anyone who needs to utilize it as a warming shelter. The Court Street entrance to the courthouse will be open to allow access.
According to officials, Marion Police and the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office will have units around and available in case of any issues.
