A Princeton man was arrested on drug trafficking charges after an investigation by the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and Princeton Police Department.
Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison says officers executed a search warrant as a result of the investigation at a residence near the 100 block of East Green Street around noon Thursday. During the search, officers reportedly found and seized approximately three ounces of methamphetamine, twenty-three Neurontin pills, a quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, $498 in cash, and a loaded firearm.
He says a task force detective arrested 56-year old Monty J. Lane and charged him with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance 2nd or greater offense enhanced with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance 2nd or greater offense enhanced with a firearm. Lane was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
