Statistics from the Princeton Police Department show criminal activity slowed ahead of the holidays.
At the last city council meeting of the year, Chief Chris King presented the November activity report that showed local officers answered 275 calls for service, or nearly 9 calls per day. That was down 44 from 319 calls for service in October.
Princeton Police made 27 criminal arrests in November — down 25 from October — with 8 felony arrests and 19 misdemeanor arrests. Officers also served 42 warrants, summonses, protective orders and other criminal citations.
Drivers were safer in November with just 13 collisions investigated compared to 23 in October. None of the 13 wrecks involved injuries or a fatality.
Princeton Police also issued 54 traffic citations, 18 written warnings, and 59 verbal warnings.
