A Princeton man was arrested in connection to separate residential burglaries on New Year’s Day.
According to Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, officers responded to a complaint of an attempted breaking and entering at a residence near the 100 block of Linton Way around 12:15 Sunday morning. He says the resident reported that someone tried to enter the residence through a window and the front door but was unsuccessful.
About 15 minutes later, Allison says officers responded to another complaint of a burglary at a residence near the 800 block of West Locust Street shortly after 12:35. This resident reportedly told officers that he woke up and observed a male subject in his residence and the male ran away on foot.
Assistant Chief Allison says an investigation led to a residence near the 100 block of Linton Way and revealed 31-year old Joshua Pavey was the perpetrator.
Pavey was taken into custody and charged with second-degree attempted burglary and second-degree burglary. He was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
