Authorities say a Kuttawa man was charged with trafficking methamphetamine after law enforcement responded to a disturbance complaint last week.
According to Lyon County Sheriff Brent White, Deputy David Carroll along with officers of the Eddyville Police Department and Kentucky State Police responded to the complaint on New Circle Drive in Kuttawa around 5:30 Tuesday evening, January 3rd.
46-year old Jeremiah Decker was taken into custody after an investigation by Deputy Carroll for an initial charge of fourth-degree assault.
During the investigation, Deputy Carroll reportedly found approximately 3 ounces of meth and a large number of baggies as well as empty gel capsules and other evidence at the scene.
Decker was also charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance greater than 2 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
Sheriff White indicates the investigation continues by Deputy Carroll and the Western KY Violent Crimes Task Force.
