A Lyon County juvenile has been charged with a felony offense after allegedly crashing an ATV into a building and causing damage.
Sheriff Brent White says he was sent to the Lyon County Water District building in the 5000 block of U.S. 62 West in Suwanee for a juvenile complaint around 2:15 Wednesday afternoon, February 1.
According to Sheriff White, the investigation revealed a 15-year old juvenile was riding an ATV unsupervised when he collided with the back of the Water District and Fire Department building, causing damage to the building and central heating and air unit.
Sheriff White says the juvenile ATV driver faces a felony charge of first-degree criminal mischief and a citation for All Terrain Vehicle Violations as a result of this incident.
A Court Designated Worker reportedly authorized the release of the teen to his mother, and the ATV was impounded by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
