A Providence man arrested on a warrant Tuesday was also charged with drug trafficking.
According to the Webster County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Eric Elder spotted 59-year old Billy Felker — who had an outstanding arrest warrant — driving a vehicle on Bill Dorris Road in the Diamond area around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.
When Felker was taken into custody, Deputy Elder reported that he recovered a large bag of methamphetamine and cash, consistent with trafficking in a controlled substance. During the investigation, the deputy also reportedly found a glass smoking device with meth residue.
Felker was lodged in the Webster County Detention Center on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance 1st offense – over 2 grams of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served the Webster County Bench Warrant for failure to appear.
