The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Wind Advisory in effect from midnight to 3:00 Thursday afternoon.
Sustained winds up to 25 MPH, with gusts up to 45 MPH are possible.
The NWS warns of unsecured objects being blown around, tree limbs falling, and possibly some power outages. There is also a small chance of severe thunderstorms across the Missouri Bootheel and western Kentucky near the Tennessee border, which could include damaging winds and the possibility of a brief tornado.
Weather Edge Forecaster David Powell says skies should clear out as we head toward the weekend.
Forecasters are predicting a mild weekend in the area, with Saturday afternoon highs of 45° and Sunday highs of 50°.
