Bill Advances That Would Make KEES Money Available To Homeschoolers

The Senate Education Committee has advanced Senate Bill 24 that would make additional KEES money accessible for homeschool students.
KEES is an acronym for Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship, a big help for parents already digging deep in their pockets. Senator John Schickel from Boone County is the bill’s sponsor:

Because home school students don’t have a traditional GPA, the measure would make a test available and the results of which would determine how much KEES money they may qualify for an amount up to $2,000 over a four year college career.
The bill now moves to the full Senate for consideration.
